There is no alternative to vocational education for the development and progress of a country. Every citizen of a nation becomes a skilled human resource through such education. Historically, Bangladesh has been enriched with hard-working people; as a result, the world of modern technology has opened the door to progress for Bangladesh. This technological revolution has made Bangladesh’s ICT sector a proud part of the global stage.

The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, under the Directorate of Technical Education, is expanding technical education through modern, job-oriented, and practical programs, especially in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). To accelerate this process, a new syllabus has been introduced at the primary, secondary, and higher-secondary levels. With the aim of creating skilled and self-reliant workers, a one-year “Merit Advanced Certificate Course” has been adopted.

In the field of higher technical training management and implementation, the historic and traditional sweet district of Gaibandha’s well-known, reputed institution WACTA Technical Institute has played a significant role in the field of technical and ICT education. This reputed institution has already completed three batches of training, and the 4th, 5th, and 7th batches are in progress. Among hundreds of trainees, a memorable publication titled “COURSE REPORT AND RELATIONSHIP — Many to Many” is going to be published, which gives me immense pleasure.

I firmly believe that the trained students will, through their acquired technical knowledge, contribute to the progress of the nation and elevate themselves as self-reliant and confident individuals. Their contribution will further strengthen Bangladesh’s ICT sector and job-oriented education. Especially, with the advancement of the country’s industrial, handicraft, and manufacturing sectors, skilled manpower will play a vital role in building a prosperous and developed Bangladesh (Inshallah).
